Yemenia is a genetically distinct mother population within Arabica, discovered exclusively in Yemen through the Qima research program led by Dr. Christophe Montagnon. Based on the largest genetic survey ever conducted in Yemen, covering over 25,000 km², this variety is believed to be indigenous to Yemen and has not been identified outside of the country to date.
