Food safety:

All metal parts are made of stainless steel (304/CF8).
The valve is easy to remove and clean (can be fully disassembled and reassembled). Food-grade plastic connectors are easily replaced.
The internal filter platform is constructed from a solid piece of stainless steel and has no folds or pockets, preventing coffee or liquid from getting trapped.
The lid handle fits over the brew hopper handle to prevent the lid from resting on any potentially unclean surfaces.
